Sometimes....

Sometimes, scars are deeper then the wounds...
The wound, cleaving holes into the body
holes left by pain and suffering.
Holes that can be mended.
Holes that can treated.
Holes that can be healed.

Yet some holes, cannot be healed so simply.
Some take time, love, and care.
Bandages, protection, and security.
Soon enough, those holes will heal too,
but never fully.
They will always leave a scar.
A missing piece.
A mangled patch of flesh.

You can patch up any wound,
but it always leaves a scar.
And sometimes,
the scars hurt worse then the wound....
